About Us

Villari's Martial Arts Studios was founded by Frederick J. Villari in 1968. Villari's is the recognized leader in Shaolin Kempo Karate with over 75 locations throughout the United States and Canada.

At Simsbury Villari's Martial Arts Studio, all classes are taught by Master and Chief Instructor Jeff Firestone and selected black belt leadership team members. Classes are offered six days a week, for preschoolers through adults. Read more about our class offerings.

More about Master Firestone

With over twenty years of martial arts experience, Master Instructor Jeff Firestone received his promotion to the rank of Fifth Degree Black Belt by Grandmaster Frederick J. Villari, making Master Firestone one of the highest-ranking Villari instructors in the state. Since 1992, as chief instructor of Simsbury Villari’s, Master Firestone has taught generations of Farmington Valley residents. To date, he has guided over 130 of his students to the achievement of their black belt.

In addition to his long and varied experience in teaching martial arts, Master Firestone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He has a unique understanding of how to adjust lessons to different learning styles and to students with special needs.

As a resident of Simsbury, Master Firestone is actively involved in the community. Most notably, through the donation of his time and effort in running after school programs, Master Firestone has raised over $10,000 for Simsbury elementary school’s PTO funds.
